Romanesco Blumenkohl
Photo taken April 20, 2012 - Munich, Germany.
Blumenkohl (cauliflower) in the states is usually the white variety. During a trip to Germany and Munich, we went through the farmer's market. They had some Romanesco Blumenkohl. Its spirals were very interesting as were its almost translucent green color. This photo was not processed in any manner and was taken with a low-end digital camera using natural lighting at the open air market. I imagine the locals thought it was strange for someone to want to take a picture of a vegetable.
