Panoramic Experiment
Photo taken November 25, 2012 - Mountain City, TX, USA
My new camera has a panoramic mode. This was my first 'real' photo using this mode. Several previous experiments were used to get the panning speed just right. My first attempts were made without using a tripod. For most of these that worked out pretty good. As you can see from the below image, the wide aspect ratio makes looking at any detail somewhat difficult. I then published this photo on my amateur radio web site using a program called Zoomify. The panoramic image of my amateur radio station in my observatory seems better suited to this type of display. To see that, click here Observatory Amateur Radio Equipment. Be sure to use the buttons and mouse to expand the image and move and drag it.
